Salthill Devon Girls claimed the league cup title U16 in EDP on Sunday

A great start saw Alisha Meehan volley the ball into the net 90 seconds into the game and the subsequent 20 mins saw Cregmore pressure result in an equaliser. However the Devonettes recovered and scored twice before half time, with a stunning Kate Thompson free kick and a superb lob from Elisha Bohan 30 yards out.

The second half saw the expected pressure from Cregmore in the first 10 mins and Devon defended well. On the 55 min mark , a fast break saw Emily Fitzgerald receive the ball 40 yards out and round two defenders to score the fourth. As Salthill continued to dominate Elisha Bohan scored the fifth.
