Drom Rejuvenation

In 2002 Salthill Devon embarked on the ambitious project that was the Drom sports complex. This involved converting a rough boggy and rocky site into

- 4 sand based grass pitches

- 8 synthetic surface cages

- a 60x40 metre synthetic training area

- and finally a clubhouse incorporating dressing rooms, meeting rooms and reception.

Now, as with your own house, there comes a time when the carpet is worn and needs to be replaced and after many years of intensive use the synthetic surfaces must be rejuvenated to serve the current and future needs of all of our members.

To rejuvenate Drom and hand it on in good shape to the next generation we need your support.

- We have secured 200k in Sports Capital Grants which have been approved for the project and can be drawn down subject to us raising the necessary own funds ourselves.

- We need to raise €200k from committed Salthill Devon Patrons both individuals and companies by way of single lump sum contribution of €5,000.

- We need to sign up individuals to a Drom Supporters Club with a target of 252 members who will each contribute a minimum of €252 per annum via Standing Order (approx fiver a week).

We need people to help – both directly and to gather other supporters of the club.

We are ploughing ahead with this project and we need your help
