On Sat (2nd Feb) the U14A lads welcomed Kinvara Utd to Drum for round 1 of the Premier & Championship Cup. Despite the early morning frost, conditions were perfect for this afternoon kick-off and it was the Kinvara lads who started the game with the sun at their backs. In fairness to the Kinvara team they put in a huge effort but on this occasion the step up in division was too high a hill to climb. Special mention must go to their young keeper who pulled off a number of super saves throughout the game and there were other admiramable performances throughout their team.

Scorers on the day for the Devon lads were Piotrek Szymansik (2), Charlie Quinn (2), Bright Brodericks, Darren Darcy, Daniel Hoare, Caden Grant and Sean O'Connor who got a cracker direct from a corner. It was great to see Caden back in the team who had been absent for a number of weeks due to an injury. Notable performances on the day were Evan Ridge, Eric Diarra (Captain on the day) and a man of the match from Dylan Darcy Devine who was a real magician in the middle of the park.

 Next up for the U14 lads, is an away league match Vs Mervue Sat 16th Feb @12.30pm.
