SDFC Girls U16 travelled to Kilmurray FC Mayo this past Sunday for the last 16 of the WFAI national cup. The game opened with a long range goal from Saoirse Burke after 5 mins, sustained pressure then resulted in in Anna Costello scoring, followed by a super hat trick followed from Alex Shepard. Goals in the second half from Hannah Glynn and Meadbh Dirrane effective sealed the game. The latter part of the game produced another Elisha Bohan hat trick.

Some up and coming players stood out for Kilmurray and they had several chances stretching Peggy Ford to make some good saves. Salthill Devon appreciated the wonderful hospitality from Kilmurray FC who are out of season currently.

Salthill Devon now await to see who they play in the Quarter final.
