Last Saturday 6th Jan the U14 Premier lads kicked off 2019 on a positive start with a good home win against Kiltullagh Pionners FC. While the Seagull lads didn’t have it all their own way in the first half going in at half-time with just one goal up. The second half was a much more
one-sided affair and in the end the Devon boys were good value for their 5 nil win. Scorers on the day were Eric Diarra, Piotrek Szymanski (2) & Charlie Quinn (2). Man of the match was Darren Darcy who had a commanding game in the middle of the park. Piecre Greally was another notable performer and put in a terrific shift at left-back. All in all, a super team performance by all fifteen lads in the squad.
Credit to Conor Byrne & his team who had pitch 3 in splendid shape. Both teams were blessed to play on a carpet like surface so early in the year and the dry day played its part as well
Up next is another home game against Tuam Celtic on the 19th of January. Thanks again for all the parents who came out to support the lads
