Last Saturday (29th Dec) the U14 premier squad travelled down to Limerick City to play a very enjoyable challenge match against Aisling Annacotty FC. While Devon squad numbers were tight on the day, twelve boys made themselves available for this holiday time match. To maximise the match time the game was divided into 3 twenty-five minute slots and was refereed by a local Limerick league official. Scores for the seagull boys on the day came from Milo O’Malley, Piortrek Szymanski and Bright O’Brodericks. Man of the Match was Fionn Silke who played right-back. A big thank you goes out you to Lenny & his other coaches for arranging the game, to the local referee and most importantly the Aisling Annacotty lads who also made themselves available.

This fine Aisling Annacotty footballing team are down to the last 32 of SFAI National Cup. It is very evident from the nice brand of expansive football this team plays that they will be difficult opponents in the next round of the cup……….we wish them the very best from all in Salthill Devon FC. Finally a special thank you to the parents/coaches of Aisling Annacotty for putting on a wonderful spread of food and drinks. Both teams had a very pleasant and seasonal after match get-together in the club house. We look forward to another match up in Galway in 2019!
