The Galway girls took their first step in retaining the national title in Nenagh on Sunday 7th May. After losing their first match 1-0 to North Tipperary albeit having dominated the game, the Galway girls went about qualifying the hard way and put a great string of victories together.
beating Clare 4-0, Limerick County 2-0 and finally Limerick Desmond 1-0. They topped the group on Goal difference and now go forward to the national Semi-finals in Limerick on Sat June 24th with the other qualifiers Sligo, South Tipperary and MGL(Dublin)
